Dr. Ivan Souza, postdoc fellow at the SMRL, and Ms. Laura Osorno, graduate student at the Biomedical Engineering Department at Rowan, are the co-founders of LOIS Beauty Craft, a venture that was just accepted in two accelerator programs: the NJIT/AWIS Jersey I-Corps Site Life Sciences Summer Accelerator, held at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), and the Rowan Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (RCIE) Summer Accelerator Program, held at the Rohrer College of Business.
LOIS Beauty Craft proposes a safer and timesaving solution for consumers who prefer to craft their own beauty products, using natural and organic pre-formulated compositions. The founders are excited with these news that validate the potential of their startup. They plan to use the seed funds and the training to develop prototypes and design a stronger and well-structured business plan. Eventually, the aim is to find an investor to help them turn their ideas into real innovations.
